I was in a desperate situation when I started with Dr. Neville. I had painful sores in my mouth. The condition is called Pemphigus Vulgaris, an autoimmune skin disorder. The sores spread to my lips, causing the skin to split and crack, and not heal. There was swelling in my throat, making it difficult to swallow, and I also developed a chronic cough. Initially, I was in so much pain, I was not able to smile. I avoided talking. The only standardmedical treatment for my condition was steroids, which I had been taking the previous 2 1/2 years before I started with Dr. Neville. However, I was at a point I could no longer take steroids because of the side effects, and I no longer wanted to take them. However, every time I would stop the round of treatment, within a couple of weeks the symptoms developed again.
